Irish Session Thursday at Red Horse Tavern

Thursday, March 10th, 7:00 at the Red Horse Tavern, Pleasant Gap, PA.

Come join us for a friendly, open session where we welcome players of traditional
instruments! Some Irish songs, too.
There are generally around a dozen of us playing, and listeners are always welcome!
We sit around a table and play by ear, as they do in Ireland (no music stands.) The Red Horse reminds us of an Irish pub :-)

The first half hour or so will be a "slow session" in order to give new
folks a chance to play at an easier tempo.
Next hour, medium speed/well known tunes.
The last hour will be for more advanced players, faster, less well-known tunes.
There is a wide range of experience levels, and we try to keep everyone interested.

Many of us arrive early - 5:45-6 or so - and have dinner together - so
please feel free to join us.

NOTE: Be sure to check out our session page on Greg Smits' website.
On it you'll find tune lists and other cool links, plus pictures and
videos of recent sessions: http://www.gregsmits.net/Irishsession/
